STEP 1

Download

Just like any other web3 plugin, Nolo Shield is a browser extension you can add to Chrome.

Nolo Shield requires access to your browser's read and write permissions in order to scan addresses and inform you about potential dangers. The extension does not store anything about your browsing activity.

STEP 2

Sign in with your Google account to store preferences and address books. Nolo Shield will never show this email to other users nor communicate it with any third parties.

STEP 3

Enable and browse

Nolo Shield should be enabled by default once signed in. If this is not the case, simply switch the protection toggle on.

You can now browse safely on any web3 website:
- Trusted addresses appear in purple with a certified badge.
- Dangerous addresses are highlighted in red with a warning sign.
- Unknown addresses are in light grey, you can whitelist or blacklist these addresses if you know them.

STEP 4

Refine your address lists

Nolo Shield already whitelists and blacklists more than 100,000 addresses by default.

You can refine this list by adding your own personal addresses to prevent sending funds to the wrong recipient for instance.

To do so, head to the Whitelist or Blacklist tab and click the Add new button.

STEP 5

Interact with web3 safely

You will now be alerted every time you interact with an address or token.

- Dangerous interactions are highlighted in red.

- Transacting with an unknown address is shown in yellow.

- Trusted and safe interactions are displayed in blue.
